During the winter season of 2022 and 2023, with funding provided by Chorley Council, we replaced the paving outside the main toilet block.
The original paving had cracked in several areas and was too narrow for the number of visitors the campsite now gets. The new paving slabs are much thicker than the previous ones and also extend out further from the toilet block to help cope with the increased footfall.
This combined with the new gravel path from the courtyard to the main toilet block has also helped reduce the amount of mud being carried into the toilet block on shoes, making cleaning easier and quicker for volunteers on wet weekends.
